United Midwest's Supplier Diversity Program

What certification is required to participate in this program?
United Midwest Savings Bank Supplier Diversity Program seeks to develop relationships with business enterprises that are at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by minorities, women, veterans, service disabled veterans, as well as people with disabilities. Preferably your company should be certified by an official certification agency such as: • National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC) www.nmsdc.com • Women Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) www.wbenc.org • Small Business Administration (SBA) www.sba.gov • National Women Business Owners Corporation (NWBOC) www.nwboc.org • United States Department of Veteran Affairs • Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council • City of Columbus • Other applicable agencies.
What types of suppliers is United Midwest looking for?
• Construction, building maintenance and property management, and real estate services • Furnishings, office equipment, and supplies • Marketing, promotional items and printed products • Technology: repair, services and software • Service contracts, maintenance, and repair
How do I participate?
Simply fill out the application form above and provide the valid certification as a diverse supplier by a nationally recognized diversity organization or from a local, state or federal governmental agency. (Please see first FAQ question for list of organizations and agencies). You can email or mail the form back to us using the information provided on the form.
What happens after I send United Midwest my application?
Your information will be reviewed by members of vendor management team within 30 business days of receipt. Once we verify your information, we will add your company to our database of diverse suppliers. We will contact you for additional information or when your company profile matches our needs.
Does registration in the Supplier Diversity Program guarantee business for me?
United Midwest will maintain a database of diverse suppliers and will make every effort to offer opportunities to as many suppliers as possible. A representative from the bank will contact suppliers if they meet the criteria to participate in an upcoming opportunity. It is important to note that registering with United Midwest Savings Bank's Supplier Diversity Program does not guarantee a contract; certify or designate any company as preferred or approved supplier; obligate the bank to solicit a sourcing opportunity; or indicate that registered supplier will be considered or selected to participate in procurement opportunities.
